Music from the Royal Weddings

Ornament1

a-scriptdd an exceptionally elegant touch to your wedding, reception, or party with the music of Bach, Vivaldi, Handel and Mozart played by experienced professional musicians who love all types of music. The cordial atmosphere created by the chamber music of 18th-century composers will enhance your special occasion and provide your guests with a uniquely memorable experience. Although they specialize in Baroque and Classical music, Baroque Artists offer a variety of other styles including Renaissance, Irish, Contemporary (today’s hits and timeless melodies), Israeli folk, and your special requests.

Other instrumentalists may be added to the ensemble, which transforms with piano (or portable keyboard) and violin and/or cello. With these changes, Baroque Artists can perform Strauss waltzes or contemporary repertoire for after-dinner dancing. The addition of a cello to the flute and harpsichord is recommended for music of all styles and especially the Baroque era. A portable organ and excellent vocal soloists are also available.

Both Karen Johnson and Peggy Lacey Craig hold Master of Music degrees and are well-known freelance artists in the Washington, D.C. area. Frequently appearing in period costumes, Baroque Artists have performed at the White House, the French, British and Portuguese Embassies, Mt. Vernon, Woodlawn Plantation and other historic locations. They began concert work together in 2002 and have won critical acclaim for their performances.

“[They performed] beautifully and in exquisitely authentic style.”
